Brazil Nuts for Atopic Eczema Skin

Brazil Nuts Self Taken Picture
Brazil Nuts
Welcome! This blog will talk about my daily walk with Atopic Eczema which is at times very difficult to control meaning it itches a lot, becomes red, dry flaky skin even shed a lot of skin if not moisturised from within.... now that got me thinking... am I lacking in specific nutrients that results in dry skin that Eczema sufferers simple didn't think about or know about?

This has become an investigation on my own skin... if i don't do this, I will be in a forever cycle of UNNECESSARY emotional-stress, low self esteem/not confident, unhappy always negative thoughts and even finding clothes to hide my eczema.... I want to overcome these and have and be optimistic!  My aim is to have it all under control but some Eczema may think this isn't possible or its possible but how?

I have found that my skin lacks vitamin A and E, Brazil Nuts contain these as it has in most nut, but if you have nuts allergy, commonly its peanuts but it may not be all buts, I dare not try peanuts!  But Brazil nuts I tried a little by little and see if I get any good reactions.  In fact I did! My skin starting to have a nice feeling within about a week, feeling smooth and soft still some dry skin and flaking, by the end of fourth week, when I got up and every morning I apply my moisturiser... this time I didn't have to (but i should as its still Eczema skin)... I thought I was a miracle! that I didn't itch and it felt SO moisturised and SO comfortable! I really just couldn't believe it!

As soon I stop eating Brazil nuts my skin resumed back to stop eating it, my skin went back to dry and itch etc.  There are articles suggesting not to eat a lot of nuts / Brazil nuts as you can get over load of vitamins and may not work or they call it "poisoning" something like that.

If you have tried some Brazil nuts and have good reaction to your skin, then please share it with me on this blog and I would love to see if it has worked for other people just like me! Thank you!

*Tips:

- Keep a food diary - I know its cliche, but to find out what's triggering your flare ups, its very ideal to find out which food are making your health worse.  I.e. starting to itch is the common trigger that's means this food isn't right for you.  Best to put time you ate it so you know what caused it.

If condition is worse without trying nuts etc, you should do to your GP / doctor to be referred to Dermatology department, trust me it really worked for me, as doctors isn't really skin experts but they should be, that's why there are different departments for specialised treatments.
